"You Say It On My Face, If There Is A Problem," Suresh Raina Lashes Out At BCCI Selection Committee!
Home > News Shots > Sports newsIndian cricketer Suresh Raina is currently unhappy with BCCI selection committee. He has also been very vocal about the lack of communication between the national selectors and players in the team.
Raina recently lashed out at the selectors stating that if any selection committee member has a problem regarding something then he should say it on his face rather than being silent on the matter.
Raina, who has been out of Team India for quite sometime asserted that the selectors didn’t give him any reason behind his exclusion after India’s series against England in 2018. It was his last appearance playing for the country.
During an Instagram live session, Raina once again lashed out at the BCCI selection committee for the same reason for dropping players. During an interaction with Fan Code, Raina said, "I feel somewhere communication should have happened, I’ve been saying that. Senior players have supported me, the selector isn’t in my hands. There have been many great selectors, Dilip Vengsarkar supported the players, Kiran More sir, there were many good selectors who used to communicate with players, be it a junior or senior."
"A selector has a right to tell face to face, I would prefer that because I’ve learnt it from my father and MS Dhoni. You say it on my face, if there’s a problem, I will solve it," he added.
Further pointing out how skipper Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma supported him, Raina asserted that, "Virat told me to improve my fitness, I did it, that’s why he made me play. Rohit always knew my talent. I don’t have any problem with any player, but as a selector, they should be more professional."
"I am not targetting anyone, I am just saying that sometimes you give so much to the country, you work so hard, stay away from the family, I personally think we should get answers to these questions," Rains concluded his live session saying.
However, The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) star still hopes to make a comeback with a good performance in the IPL 2020 edition.
