Suresh Raina 'Family Murder' Case: Raina's 'Tweet Goes Viral' as 3 Gang Members Get Arrested!

Former Indian cricketer and IPL star Suresh Raina, who returned from UAE to support his family members after the brutal attacked in a village in Punjab. After days of wait, he has expressed satisfaction following the murder case of his relatives that has been solved.

Earlier in the day, Raina visited his house and relatives in Tharial village in Punjab, where his uncle and cousin were killed in a gruesome robbery attack while his aunt is still battling for life in the hospital. According to NDTV reports, the police have been investigating this case and have questioned more than 100 people in this matter.

"This morning in Punjab I met the investigating officers who reportedly have napped three criminals. I truly appreciate all their efforts. Our loss can't be recovered but this will surely prevent further crimes to happen. Thank you @PunjabPoliceInd @capt_amarinder for all the help," he tweeted.   

The unfortunate incident took place on the night of 19th August, at around 7-8 pm, when 5 of the accused entered Ashok Kumar’s house (Suresh's Uncle) before fleeing with cash and jewellery. Raina’s uncle died on the spot while his cousin passed away in the hospital.

"What happened to my family is Punjab was beyond horrible. My uncle was slaughtered to death, my bua & both my cousins had severe injuries. Unfortunately, my cousin also passed away last night after battling for life for days," worried and sad Suresh, who pulled out of the Indian Premier League (IPL) season to be with his family, tweeted.

Raina had also appealed to Chief Minister Amarinder Singh for help, after which Singh responded saying: "Beta (my son)... we will make sure that the guilty are brought to justice".
