The Sunrisers Hyderabad won the toss and elected to field first.

Right from the first over, it was evident that this was a slow pitch and would be difficult to score on. The Delhi Capitals never really got going as they kept losing wickets. Mohammad Nabi and Bhuvneshwar Kumar were spot on with the ball today. The inexperienced Delhi Capitals batsman threw away their wickets with Shaw looking to slog across the line, Pant looking for a 6 straight after a break, Ingram hitting a short and wide ball to the fielder.
Shreyas Iyer tried his best and played a sensible innings of 43 runs from 41 balls, but unfortunately, didn't have enough support at the other end and lost his wicket trying to push the scoring rate. Axar Patel towards the end hit Kaul for 2 sixes in the last over to finish off the innings which took the Delhi Capitals to a total of 129 in the 20 overs. But this was easily 20 runs short of where they would have liked to be.

SRH starting their chase, Jonny Bairstow gave a great start scoring 48 runs off 28 balls and made it look very easy. After getting that kind of start, SRH were always going to comfortably win the game. The Delhi Capitals put the breaks on SRH once Bairstow got out with the spinners bowling tightly, but with a below-par score, they didn't have enough runs to defend. Nabi came out and finished off the innings in style after his brilliant performance with the bowl as well. It looks like SRH have a team for all conditions and are probably the team to beat.

The Delhi Capitals will need to work on their batting and players should look at taking up more responsibility.  We have seen the young batsman throw their wickets away in this game and also in previous games which they should avoid. With Ricky Ponting and Sourav Ganguly in the think tank, If they can get their batting together, they will definitely be a team to watch out for.
