MS Dhoni’s love and respect for the Indian Army is an obvious revelation for people in India. Apart from cricket he also spares his time to be a part of Nation’s pride who protect India from the border. While MSD is training with the Indian Army’s Parachute Regiment, West Indies fast bowler, Sheldon Cotterell hailed the veteran wicket-keeper batsman for his love on Indian Army.

Sheldon Cotterell is also a soldier in Jamaica’s Defence Force who became viral with his trademark “Salute” celebrations in the ICC World Cup 2019.  Being a soldier himself, Cotterell related Dhoni with the feeling of pride, honour and love to serve the country.  He took to his twitter and shared a video of MSD receiving the honorary Lieutenant Colonel in the Indian Army by the President in 2011.

To caption the video, Cotterell wrote, “I shared this video with friends and family because they know how I feel about honour but the moment between wife and husband truly shows an inspirational kind of love for country and partner. Please enjoy as I did” (sic).  The excitement of Jamaican soldier did not stop as he also described his inspiration on Dhoni’s patriotism.

Further, Cotterell added “This man is an inspiration on the cricket field. But he is also a patriot and a man that gives to his country beyond duty. I have been at home in Jamaica with my boys these past weeks and had time to reflect (1/2)” (sic). In 2015, MSD completed 5 parachute training jumps from the Indian aircraft in the training camp at Agra before becoming the qualified paratrooper.
