Cricketers Run Into Each Other During Match, Get Injured

Recently, Sri Lanka players Shehan Jayasuriya and Kusal Mendis suffered minor injuries after they collided with each other in the final over of the second T20 International in Pallekele on Tuesday.
In the nail-biting last over, with seven runs needed in six balls, New Zealand team who lost Tom Bruce and Daryl Mitchell decided to stick on the field.
During that over, Shehan Jayasuriya took the catch but he touched the boundary after colliding with teammate Kusal Mendis, who came running towards him.
Meanwhile, the Blackcaps captioned the pictures of the collision on Twitter and said, "Drama in the deep! A great catch from Jayasuriya but he collides with his teammate and goes over the boundary. Santner awarded SIX. Receiving medical attention now, hopefully all ok."
Hours after the incident, skipper Lasith Malinga confirmed stating that the two fielders are fine and will play the next game hopefully.
They have always been incidents on field- in August 2019, Jayasuriya and Mendis skidded off a bike while celebrating victory over Bangladesh in a three-match ODI series in Colombo.
