Watch: Sanju Samson Takes Stunning Catch Against KKR; 'Surprised' Sachin Goes Down Memory Lane! 

Rajasthan Royals (RR) star performer Sanju Samson has impressed fans and cricketers with his batting skills in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) season 13. Recently, during the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) clash, he shocked everyone with his jaw-dropping catch. 

Even Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar was in absolute praise for Sanju Samson after his solid goal-keeper-like leap to dismiss Pat Cummins went viral at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. 

The epic moment took place in the 18th over of Kolkata's innings when Tom Curran was bowling to Pat Cummins. Cummins, who took the aerial shot but failed to clear the man at the deep square with his miscued pull shot. While, Samson, who was eagle eyed in that spot, took a stunning catch to dismiss Cummins for 12 off 10 balls.

Shocked and surprised over Samson's brilliant catch, Tendulkar took to social media and recalled the bitter-sweet memories of taking a similar catch against the West Indies in the 1992 World Cup. 

"Brilliant catch by @IamSanjuSamson! I know how much it hurts when you bang your head like this on the ground. I experienced it in the 1992 World Cup in our match against the WI when I took a catch," Tendulkar said in a tweet.

Talking about the catch and reference Sachin made, Samson took an awkward fall by leaping backwards to catch the ball behind his head. Despite landing on the mat awkwardly, Samson still managed to complete the catch in a fair manner. 

Regarding the match, Rajasthan Royals failed to extend their winning run in the IPL 2020 as they were outclassed by the Knight Riders by 37 runs. Check out the video and Sachin's tweet below:
