Home > News Shots > Sports newsA day after former Indian cricketer-turned commentator Sanjay Manjrekar was removed from the Board of Control for Cricket in India's (BCCI) commentary panel; he took to social media and shared his reaction on it.
Taking to his Twitter account, Manjrekar said "I have always considered commentary as a great privilege, but never an entitlement. It is up to my employers whether they choose to have me or not & I will always respect that. Maybe BCCI has not been happy with my performance of late. I accept that as a professional."
As per a Mumbai Mirror report, Manjrekar was removed of the BCCI commentary panel earlier in the week. He was also not seen for the 1st ODI between India and South Africa in Dharamsala.
Meanwhile, the media report also mentioned that Manjrekar won't be a part of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 commentary panel as well.
During his tenure as a BCCI panel, Manjrekar has been subjected to a lot of criticism on social media after his comments on Team India cricketer Ravindra Jadeja and former cricketer Harsha Bhogle went viral. He later apologized to both the cricket stars but fans did not!.
