Former Indian batsman and renowned commentator Sanjay Manrekar was again in the news, but this time for being backlashed on Twitter after all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja was heroic with the bat during the third and final ODI at Canberra.

In today's match, Jadeja scored (66 off 50) and Hardik Pandya 92 (76). They took the match into their own hands as India was struggling at 152/5 at one stage after Virat Kohli walked back. It was Jadeja and Hardik’s brilliance that helped India post a decent 302.

After Jadeja’s heroics win, Manjrekar was shredded into ‘bits and pieces’ by fans on Twitter. The former cricketer had earlier sparked a controversy during the World Cup 2019 when he called Jadeja a ‘bits and pieces’ cricketer.

Amid India's ongoing tour of Australia, Manjrekar shared his thoughts on the controversies surrounding him in the recent past.

"I do not have a problem with Jadeja; I have a problem with his kind of cricketers in white-ball cricket. Even Hardik Pandya will not be in my team. They add illusionary value to the team," Manjrekar had recently told The Hindu.

Days after Manjrekar's comments, Jadeja posted a cryptic tweet hinting at staying positive and, it was that positivity that reflected in his brilliant 66-run knock in the 3rd ODI against Australia.
