Sania Mirza and Ukraine's Nadiia Kichenok defeated the American duo Vania King and Christina to enter the women's doubles semi-finals.
Sania and Nadiia defeated Vania and Christina in the tiebreaker by 10-4 after the quarter-final match was tied at 1-1 by 6-2 and 4-6.
The Sania pair will play against Slovenian-Czech pair Tamara Zidansek and Marie Bouzkova in the Semi-Finals.
The 33-year old Sania Mirza last played China Open tennis in October 2017. Later she had to suffer injuries and take a formal break to give birth to her boy child, Izhaan.

After Sania's victory, Hobart International posted a video glimpse of her happy face on official twitter which was liked by legendary Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh.
