Sachin's World Cup XI Has 5 Indian Players, Is Dhoni included?
Home > News Shots > Sports newsLegendary cricketer and master blaster Sachin Tendulkar recently picked his favourite XI cricketers who played in the World Cup 2019. These names come days after the conclusion of the World Cup tournament.
As per News18 report, among the five Indians players, Kane Williamson was also on the list. While the other five Indians include: Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja and Jasprit Bumrah.
The list further stated that, Rohit and Jonny Bairstow are the two openers while Williamson comes in at number 3. Kohli is set to bat at number 4 followed by all-rounders Shakib Al Hasan, Ben Stokes, Pandya and Jadeja. The three pacers in Tendulkar's World Cup XI are Mitchell Starc, Jofra Archer and Bumrah, News18 further reported.
Something which came as a surprise was, he did not include wicketkeeper-batsman MS Dhoni in the XI.
Below is the final list, you can see them all- Rohit Sharma, Jonny Bairstow (wk), Kane Williamson (c), Virat Kohli, Shakib Al Hasan, Hardik Pandya, Ben Stokes, Ravindra Jadeja, Mitchell Starc, Jofra Archer, Jasprit Bumrah.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) had earlier also named its World Cup 2019 XI that included only Rohit and Bumrah on the list.
