Sadly, he fell short of one run in the Test but impressed fans with his score of 176 in the first Test against South Africa in Vizag on Thursday.
The recent Test series in home ground was Rohit's first time in a Test match. He made a strong 317 score stand with his opening partner Mayank Agarwal.
But as Rohit Sharma returned to the pavilion after an impressive score, team India captain Virat Kohli surprised fans with his special gesture.
The video is currently going viral and winning hearts all over. The official account of Indian Cricket Team took to their Instagram page and posted a video with the caption that read as "Top knock from @rohitsharma45. The dressing room acknowledges".
In the video, Virat Kohli can be seen giving Rohit Sharma a warm welcome and a pat on the back. He also closes the door soon after Rohit walks in.
"Opens the batting and scores a ton," Indian Cricket Team had posted another video and captioned it too.
Currently, Rohit has become a star as he scored a century on the opening day and resumed his rhythm on the second day too.
