Video: Rohit Sharma Caught Doing 'Fake Fielding', Umpires Does Not Notice But Fans Do!
Home > News Shots > Sports newsThe second ODI of the three-match series between India and Australia was a splendid one. From, batting, bowling to fielding everything was tight and perfectly matched. Among all the top runs and scores, Team India 'Hit-Man', Rohit Sharma’s antiques on the cricket field caught the attention of the cricket world.
Rohit Sharma made an open fake fielding effort that the umpires failed to notice but fans caught him in action. During the first innings, Kane Richardson faked a throw against Rohit Sharma. It was noticed by all and taken in a light note but Rohit remembered.
So, while fielding for the Indian team in the second innings, Rohit faked a throw while the ball was going away from him. Cricketers mostly do this, because the visibility of the ball becomes low during the night and so the batsmen take note of the fielders’ actions while running on the field.
Rohit Sharma used this trick to fool Labuschagne and Smith as he acted like he was throwing the ball when Labuschagne hit one of Kuldeep Yadav’s deliveries behind the wicket. Labuschagne even tried to point out Rohit’s fake throw but, the umpires did not notice.
