Rising Pune Supergiant resurrected; to be the 9th team in IPL 2020?

Amid this, Royal Challengers Bangalore has tweeted congratulating Virat Kohli on his boundary. While there is nothing spectacular in the IPL franchise praising the team captain's feet, what caught the eye was Rising Pune Supergiant replying to the tweet.
The team which went defunct in 2017 has replied "Rinse. Repeat." to the tweet. RPS played their game during the two years RR and CSK were on a ban during the years 2016 and 2017.
They were led by Dhoni in 2016 and later by Smith in 2017. Earlier once the 2019 IPL has ended, there was speculations that this edition might have more than 8 teams. However, the official word is yet to be released.
