Rishabh Pant Gets Brutally Trolled After Bizarre Run-Out in DC’s Match Against RR

The match between Delhi Capitals (DC) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) is currently making headlines after Rishabh Pant got out in the most bizarre manner. It was an awful mix-up between Marcus Stoinis and Pant on the field. 

During the match, when Royals managed to dismiss three Delhi Capitals batsmen, the onus was on Marcus Stoinis and Pant to deliver good scores.

In the 2020 edition of IPL, Pant hasn’t scored a half-century but always managed in the 30s and 40s.

When he came to bat after Delhi lost Shikhar Dhawan and Prithvi Shaw inside the first five overs. In the 10th over, Pant sadly had to walk back to the pavilion after Marcus Stoinis patted one down the ground and set off for a quick single.

However, midway, he backed off, realising that substitute fielder Manan Vohra was in a good position to throw. But Pant had come a long way down and found himself in trouble. 

Pant, who had no idea about the field-set ran across blindly but Vohra was smart enough to pass the ball across to Tewatia who was guarding the stumps. Pant’s innings came to a tragic end there leaving fans and cricket experts shocked.

Soon after the bizarre run-out fans were quick on social media to troll him. Netizens slammed the left-handed batsman for his ‘absence of mind’ while committing the suicidal single. Even the commentary box got divided after Pant’s dismissal.

Former Indian cricketer Murali Kartik said; “He was on the non-striker’s end, he was just responding to his partner’s call." Meanwhile, former England cricketer Kevin Pietersen was of the opinion that Pant was solely responsible for his dismissal. “You are always responsible for protecting your own wicket. I have no idea what was going on there!,” Pietersen replied.
