RCB Releases 11 Players Including a Few Big Names!
Home > News Shots > Sports newsRoyal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) has released as many as 11 players with the IPL trading window coming to a close. RCB finished the previous season in the 8th position of the points table.
Players released include Caribbean power hitter Shimron Hetmyer, Australian all-rounder Marcus Stoinis, Kiwi all-rounder Colin de Grandhomme, paceman Tim Southee, Nathan Coulter-Nile, Akshdeep Nath, Himmat Singh, Prayas Ray Barman, Kulwant Khejroliya, Milind Kumar and Heinrich Klaasen.
Along with Delhi Capitals and Kings XI Punjab, Royal Challengers Bangalore have not won any season in the cash-rich tournament. They have reached the final on three occasions though.
The franchise has made big changes to its coaching staff as well by roping in Mike Hesson and Simon Katich in place of Gary Kirsten. Under the guidance of newly appointed team director Hesson, RCB would look for a fresh start.
