Ravindra Jadeja is spectacular when it comes to fielding. There can be no qualms about that. But the all-rounder invited the wrath of skipper Virat Kohli for a brief moment during the second day of the first Test against West Indies.

The incident took place during the 12th over of the West Indies innings. Ravichandran Ashwin was bowling to Shimron Hetmyer, and the batsman played the ball towards mid-wicket and went for a run. His partner at the non-striker end responded, but Hetmyer changed his mind, leading to a confusion.

Seeing both the batsmen at one end of the wicket, Jadeja, instead of throwing the ball back to Ashwin, decided to jog casually towards the stumps. Meanwhile, Hetmyer almost made it back to the crease. Seeing him making it back, Jadeja decided to take a direct hit at the stumps. Luckily, the ball just took off the bails, and it was a successful run-out.

Jadeja's antics did not seem to go down well with both Kohli and Ashwin, as they seemed unimpressed. Both players came close to Jadeja to question him about his unnecessary theatrics. Jadeja simply shrugged it off, leaving Virat with a smile. The wicket ensured that Jadeja and the team were saved from a major embarrassment.
