Team India head coach Ravi Shastri recently hit headlines for his post on social media. After the match between Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Delhi Capitals (DC) on Tuesday, Ravi Shastri found himself in the firing line.

The reason for him being slammed on social media was for a compliment he gave to Wriddhiman Saha.

A day after India’s Test wicket-keeper put up a scintillating display with the bat during SRHvs DC clash, Shastri called Saha as the “best gloveman in the world."

Talking about Saha's performance, he totally justified the team-management’s decision by scoring 87 in the playing XI and laid the foundation for his side’s thumping 88-run win over the Capitals. His knock came off only 45 balls and smacked 12 fours and two sixes.

Saha, who shared a 107-run stand with opener David Warner helped SRH to post a massive total of 219. While, Delhi Capitals came up with a horrible batting display and were all out for just 131.

Pointing to Ravi Shastri’s compliment for Saha; he took to Twitter and hailed the SRH wicketkeeper-batsman. He wrote: “To the best Glove Man in the world. Outstanding performance tonight – @Wriddhipops #SRHvsDC #IPL2020.”

Minutes after the tweet went viral, it did not go down well with some MS Dhoni fans as they slammed Shastri for calling Saha the best wicketkeeper in the world. Many even questioned his asking “where is Thala Dhoni” ranked in this then?
