Indian Spinner Pragyan Ojha Announces Retirement From All Forms of Cricket, Post Message on Twitter
Home > News Shots > Sports newsCricket fans were shocked to hear, India spinner Pragyan Ojha took to social media and announced that he will be retiring from professional cricket.
Pragyan Ojha, who played professional cricket for 16 years will be ending his cricket career with immediate effect. According to India Today reports, the spinner was not featuring in any international matches since 2013, but he used to play domestic cricket until 2019.
Pragyan Ojha's message broke hearts after his long message went viral which read as, "It’s time I move on to the next phase of my life. The love and support of each and every individual will always remain with me and motivate me all the time."
Ojha has played for Deccan Chargers and Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Till date, he has played 24 Tests and 18 ODIs along with 113 wickets in Tests and 21 in ODIs for Team India.
The year 2014 was not a lucky one for Ojha as he was barred from bowling after his action were found to be illegal. By January 2015, he cleared the test and was allowed to resume his bowling.
