PM Modi Responds To Kevin Pietersen's Tweet For Indian Fans on COVID-19; Cricketer Reacts!
Home > News Shots > Sports newsAfter the deadly coronavirus is taking over India, former England skipper Kevin Pietersen took to social media and shared a heartfelt message in Hindi urging fans to stay in doors. Ever since, Pietersen's post went viral, he has won Indian hearts and the internet.
Earlier in the week, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation and asked people to take part in the 'Janata Curfew' on Sunday (March 22). PM Modi's speech became the hot topic for the nation after which Pietersen lauded Modi's measures and shared a heartwarming tweet for Indian fans.
Minutes after former England cricketer's post went viral, PM Modi lauded the player for standing together in India's fight against the coronavirus. PM Modi in his tweet said, "Explosive batsmen who've seen teams through crises have something to say to us. We too will come together to fight COVID-19. #IndiaFightsCorona," PM Modi tweeted.
Soon after PM Modi responded to Pietersen in his tweet, the former England skipper posted a witty tweet in Hindi again. He said, "Shukriya Modi ji , aapki leadership bhi kaafi bispotak hai."
As India has recorded more than 200 positive case in Coronavirus, PM Modi has urged India citizens to observe one-day nationwide curfew on Sunday from 7:00 am to 9:00 pm.
