Pat Cummins Gives 49 Runs in JUST 3 Overs, Gets Trolled Instantly on Twitter!
Home > News Shots > Sports newsThe much talked about IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) played their first match against Mumbai Indians (MI) yesterday. Sadly, they lost the opening match as Knight Riders were outclassed by the Rohit Sharma-led side in every department of the game.
To top it off, pacer Pat Cummins, who was bought for Rs.15.50 crores by KKR for IPL auctions that took place in December 2019 made the match an forgettable day with the ball as he leaked 49 runs in just three overs without picking up any wickets.
We all know that with great price comes even greater responsibility but Cummins failed to live up to the hype and expectation in his first match. Not just cricketers, even fans were equally disappointed, upset and even furious at Cummins' performance in Abu Dhabi.
Pat Cummins, who is the No. 1-ranked bowler in ICC Test rankings, smashed Jasprit Bumrah for four sixes in the 18th over but KKR finished on 149/6 in reply to Mumbai Indians' 195/5 and lost by 49 runs.
