Nepal Captain Beats Virat Kohli and Steven Smith; Creates World Record!
Home > News Shots > Sports newsNepal captain Paras Khadka has become the first-ever captain to score a century while chasing in a T20I match. He reached the mark in just 49 balls and that is by record the fourth fastest century by an Asian captain.
It was in a T20I match against Singapore, Khadka scored an unbeaten 106 off 52 balls (includes 7 fours and 9 sixes), leading his team towards victory with 9 wickets and 4 overs still in hand.
The record was previously owned by Netherlands captain Pieter Seelaar who scored an unbeaten 96 against Scotland a few days ago. Australia star performer Steven Smith occupies the 4th position on the list followed by West Indies's Chris Gayle. India Skipper Virat Kohli holds the 8th position with an 82-run innings against Sri Lanka.
Khadka is also the first player from Nepal to score an ODI century. He had scored an unbeaten 86 against Malaysia last month.
