This Pakistan Player Deletes Tweet After Cheering For India To Win World Cup
Home > News Shots > Sports newsTeam India or the Men in Blue are in good pace at the scores table of World Cup 2019. The Indian Cricket team seems to be having a larger number of fans and followers.
Even rival teams are in support of India to win the world cup. Recently, Pakistan fast bowler Hassan Ali accidentally backed India to win the World Cup 2019 and later had to backtrack on his words on social media after realising his mistake.
According to News18 report, a journalist had posted a tweet congratulating the Indian team and wishing for them to win the World Cup and make the nation proud. To the tweet, Ali replied, ‘Hogi ap ki dua pori congratulation’ (Translation: Your wish will be fulfilled congratulations).
Hassan later deleted the tweet after receiving a lot of flak from fans, who had hoped Pakistan would be able to win the high-octane clash between the two teams.
Pakistan will next face South Africa on Sunday, following which they will play New Zealand (June 26), Afghanistan (June 29) and Bangladesh (July 5).
