Young Sri Lanka captain Equals MS Dhoni's Record against Pakistan!

Sri Lanks's interim T20I captain Dasun Shanaka has equalled MS Dhoni and Michael Clarke's record of winning first 3 T20I against Pakistan. It was also the first time that Sri Lanka won a series 3-0 and Pakistan was whitewashed in a three-match series.

Shanaka was named captain after some of the senior Sri Lanka players refused to travel to Pakistan stating security concerns.

Speaking to the press, Shanaka said it's his team's unity that worked. He also thanked Pakistan crowd for supporting Sri Lankan team as well.

"It's a good victory. Thanks to the Pakistan crowd, they supported not just the home team but for us as well. We should thank everyone in Pakistan, especially for PCB for inviting us to come and play a series here," Shanaka was quoted as saying by India Today.

"All the players bond well in our team and that is our key to success. They are very talented and I think unity is the secret behind our success. If we play smart cricket there is always a chance to win and each and everyone took good decisions which helped us win the series."
