First team to announce World cup squad!!! Uncapped player selected!!!

The ICC World cup is all set to start later next month and the ICC's deadline for teams to announce their squads is April 30.

NewZealand have become the first team to announce their world cup squad. They have a good balance in their squad covering all departments and look like strong contenders at the World Cup.

The two spots that were in debate before the announcement was the second spinner and a backup keeper.  Todd Astle was expected to take the second spinner spot, but Ish Sodhi has been preferred.Tim Seifert's injury has given an opportunity for Tom Blundell, who is yet to represent NewZealand in ODI cricket.

Squad: Kane Williamson (captain), Martin Guptill, Henry Nicholls, Ross Taylor, Tom Latham, Colin Munro, Tom Blundell, Jimmy Neesham, Colin de Grandhomme, Mitchell Santner, Ish Sodhi, Tim Southee, Matt Henry, Lockie Ferguson, Trent Boult

New Zealand will play their first game on the 1st of June against Srilanka.
