Ishant Sharma Ruled Out of 2nd Test Against New Zealand; Replacement Decided!
Home > News Shots > Sports newsJust one day ahead for the second Test against New Zealand, Team India gets another massive shock with bowler Ishant Sharma being ruled out. The reason of him being ruled out is because of Ankle injury.
Ishant Sharma, who was among the few positives bowlers for the team is likely to be replaced by Umesh Yadav in the playing XI. Ishant finished his 11th five-wicket haul in the first innings and was three wickets away from becoming the sixth Indian bowler to take 300 Test wickets.
But sadly, his injury seems to keep him away from the final game of the series. According to Cricbuzz report, Ishant Sharma will be replaced by Umesh Yadav. Ishant's absence will make a huge difference for the Indian team, who are suffering a heavy defeat at the Basin Reserve.
After a month long injury, Ishant returned to action that he had suffered in January. The second test on Saturday will be Umesh Yadav’s first-ever game in New Zealand conditions in his cricketing career so far.
