Wow! This Indian cricketer overtakes Kohli, Rohit Sharma as highest T20I scorer

Indian cricketer Mithali Raj surpassed Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli to become India's highest T20I scorer. Raj achieved the milestone on Thursday during the ICC Women's World Cup T20 match against Ireland.

 

The position was previously held by Rohit Sharma, who had scored 2207 runs so far. Overtaking him, Raj became the top scorer with a whopping 2283 runs. Along with  Mithali Raj, the top list is currently shared by Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Harmanpreet Singh, Suresh Raina and MS Dhoni.

 

Her achievement was even shared by International Cricket Council on their official Twitter page. Speaking during the post-match presentation, Raj addressed her feat and said, "You are prepared for 2-3 shots for one delivery and you try and innovate your game to suit the format, you only need to clear the infield in the powerplay to get boundaries and it's something I've worked on and I'm sure that I'll keep scoring runs for India."
