List of expensive IPL players in all auctions - MS Dhoni is not the highest!
Home > News Shots > Sports newsIn a few weeks, Kolkata will host the auction for IPL 2020. The teams utilized the trading window and traded players and released some. Sportskeeda reports the list of expensive IPL players from all auctions so far.
MS dhoni, the then skipper was bought by CSK for Rs.9.5 crores in 2008 and he had stayed with CSK till date. When the franchise was banned for two years, he played for RPS.
Kevin Pietersen and Andrew Flintoff was bought by RCB and CSK for Rs.9.5 crores in 2009.
Keiron Pollard and Shane Bond were bought by MI and KKR for Rs.4.8 crores in the year 2010.
Gautam Gambhir was bought by KKR in the year 2011 and he led KKR to two IPL titles. He was paid the highest in all auctions.
Ravindhra Jadeja was bought by CSK in 2012 for Rs.12.8 crores.
In 2013, the highest amount was paid for Glenn Maxwell - Rs.6.3 crores by MI.
Yuvraj Singh was bought by RCB and then later by DD for Rs.14 crores and Rs.16 crores in 2014 and 2015, respectively.
Shane Watson was bought by RCB in 2016 for Rs.9.5 crores.
Ben Stokes was bought by RPS and then by RR in 2017 and 2018 for Rs.14.5 crores and Rs.12.5 crores respectively.
Jaydev Unadkat and Varun Chakravarthy were bought by RR and KXIP in 2019 for Rs.8.4 crores each.
