Krishnappa Gowtham and Dhawal Kulkarni Leave Rajasthan Royals; to Play for Different Teams!
Home > News Shots > Sports newsRajasthan Royals has traded Krishnappa Gowtham to Kings XI Punjab after trading Ankit Rajput and Ravichandran Ashwin recently. In the 2018 auction, Royals bought Gowtham for a whopping 6.2 crores.
Also, Mumbai Indians has drafted in fast bowler Dhawal Kulkarni from Rajasthan Royals on Wednesday just after buying Trent Boult from Delhi Capitals. With the likes of Jasprit Bumrah and Lasith Malinga, the inclusion of two more front line pacers will more the team bowling attack more lethal.
It will be a homecoming for Kulkarni as he played domestic cricket from Mumbai. He would be knowing the pros and cons of Wankhede’s pitch very well.
Boult who made his IPL debut in 2014 played for Delhi in the previous two seasons. The seasoned New Zealander found it difficult to get opportunities because of the South African bowling sensation Kagiso Rabada. In the last season, Boult picked 5 wickets from 5 matches. Overall, he has 38 wickets from 33 IPL matches to his name.
As today is the last day to close trade deals, all the franchises will be on high heels to bring solidity to their line-up. Let’s watch out for more interesting surprises.
