Virat Kohli speaks out about Dhoni's exclusion from T20I squad

MS Dhoni who has always been a part of the team when it comes to T20s was excluded from the official squad for an upcoming series recently. His exclusion stirred up a lot of debates and controversies.

Speaking after the ODI series win against West Indies at Thiruvananthapuram, Skipper Virat Kohli explained that he was not present during the selectors meeting. He said, "I think the selectors have come out and explained exactly what happened. I was not part of that conversation so… It is what the selector explained."

Kohli pointed out to Dhoni's need for youngsters to come out to the open. He said, "I think people are putting too much variables into the situation, which is not the case I can assure of that. He’s still a very integral part of this team and he just feels that in the T20 format, someone like Rishabh can get more chances, he anyway plays the ODIs for us regularly."
