Recently we had reported on Virat Kohli's Shoulder hit to South African bowler Beuran Hendricks. Well, the recent update is that Kohli has received an official warning from the International Cricket Council (ICC) and one demerit point for his action.

The ICC official website released the news stating that Kohli was found guilty of a Level 1 breach of the ICC Code of Conduct during the third T20 held at Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangaluru on September 22 (Sunday).

ICC stated that Kohli accepted the offence that breached Article 2.12 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel. The offence is related to "Inappropriate physical contact with a Player, Player Support Personnel, Umpire or any other person (including a spectator) during an international Match".

Virat Kohli already has 2 demerit points obtained out of Pretoria Test against South Africa on 15 January 2018 and Afghanistan in ICC WC 2019 on June 22. Now, the extra demerit point adds to 3 and if he gets one more demerit point within the 24-month period, it will be converted into suspension points and lead to a ban.
