Off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin who was an important member in Kings XI Punjab was traded to Delhi Capitals. In his place, Karnataka spinner Jagadeesha Suchith will be joining the team. Surprisingly, Ashwin is expected to be paid Rs 7.6 crore, which is his auction value by Delhi.

According to Sportstar report, the franchise’s co-owner, Ness Wadia said as per the deal, the Punjab franchise will be trading Ashwin with another spinner, Jagadeesha Suchith, who will get a sum of Rs 1.5 crore.

“It was a pleasure working with Ashwin. We enjoyed our time with him and I wish him all the best,” Wadia told Sportstar. Other than Suchith, KXIP has also asked Delhi for New Zealand pacer Trent Boult but talks are still on for it-nothing confirmed.

"Everyone is happy with this deal. We are happy, Ashwin is happy and Delhi is happy. We were in talks with three teams but have finally come to this conclusion. We wish Ashwin the very best," KXIP co-owner Ness Wadia told PTI.

While the papers have been sent to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), a final approval is yet to come, reports Sportstar. Also, a formal announcement on the same will be made before the IPL transfer talks closes on November 14.
