Bollywood Actress To Unveil T20I World Cup Trophies In Melbourne

Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan is all set to enter the cricket field for a prestigious event. She will be unveiling the trophies of the T20 World Cups for both men and women which is slated to be held next year in Australia.
According to News18 report, every season the International Cricket Council (ICC) with other higher officials decide on whom to pick and this time, they narrowed down to Kareen Kapoor Khan, who is a well known celebrity across the world.
While speaking to media, Kareena Kapoor revealed that she is honoured to be part of the event. “I am honoured to be a part of this prestigious evening. I would like to encourage all these women out there who are playing for their respective countries to pursue their dreams. Its truly empowering to see them stand tall on an international platform,” Kareena said.
“They are an inspiration to one and all. My late father-in-law was one of the greatest cricketers who played for the Indian cricket team and it is an honour for me to be unveiling the trophy,” she further added.
Looking at the dates, the women's World T20 is all set to be held from February 21 to March 8 while the men's T20 World Cup will be held from October 18 to November 15 next year.
