Video: Jaydev Unadkat Gets Furious In Ranji Trophy Final, Breaks Middle Stump

During the ongoing 86th season of the Ranji Trophy, Saurashtra captain Jaydev Unadkat took to headlines after losing his cool and breaking the middle stump during the match. The game between Saurashtra and Bengal in Rajkot was an unmissable one where, bowler Jaydev Unadkat, who is the highest wicket-taker in this season, expressed his frustration of not getting a wicket and ended up breaking one.

The incident took place during the third delivery of the 93rd over when Bengal batsman Sudip Chatterjee easily defended a delivery from Unadkat and sent it back to him. Soon after collecting the ball, Unadkat threw it back to the stumps. 

The ball went with such force and frustration, that it broke the middle-stump which was subsequently replaced by the reserve umpire. 

Highlighting about the match, with Saurashtra’s first-inning score of 425 runs, Bengal is close to crossing the 300-run mark when this article was written. During the match, Wriddhiman Saha and Sudip Chatterjee were clear in their performance; they ensured that Bengal went unscathed in the morning session. Watch the video below:
