India will be playing its first Test championship against West Indies on August 22 ( Thursday) in Antigua. Holding the 5th position in the recently released ICC Bowler rankings, Jadeja’s performance would be keenly watched in the upcoming match. Virat Kohli and co have clinched the away home T20 series and ODI series which will certainly boost the morale of the Indian players in the Test cricket.
Interestingly, the players will be wearing test jerseys with numbers printed on it for the first time. While it is expected that Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s Jersey No: 7 would be declared “Unofficially Retired” owing to fans value, the other players could be seen wearing their respective ODI jersey numbers.
Being the Jersey No: 8 holder, Jadeja is just away from taking 8 wickets in Tests to set a new record. Well, Nothing can coincide better for Ravindra Jadeja than number “8” for the time being.
