After the suspension of the 13th edition of Indian Premier League (IPL) till April 15 due to the coronavirus outbreak, former Team India captain MS Dhoni made sure to interact with his fans at the Chepauk stadium before leaving for his home in Ranchi. He left the Chennai base in front of his cheering fans.

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) took to their social media handle and shared a short video of fans bidding adieu. In the video, fans can be seen cheering for their star while many wait to get a glimpse of Dhoni, who is caught signing autographs and interacting with supporters.

"It has become your home, sir!" Keep whistling, as #Thala Dhoni bids a short adieu to #AnbuDen," the post read.

According to a NDTV sports report, the BCCI and the eight IPL team owners met to discuss after government-imposed travel restrictions and refusal of three states to host any matches.

Cricket fans were excited to see Dhoni on the field during the practice match and session after featuring in India's semi-final loss to New Zealand at the 50-over World Cup in England last year.
