Is 'Dawid Malan' Replacing Suresh Raina in CSK? - Check Out CSK's Official Statement on This!

Ever since Chennai Super Kings (CSK) cricketer Suresh Raina decided to pull out of IPL 2020 due to personal reasons, fans have been worried as to who would take his place. 

There were even reports of England left-hander Dawid Malan likely to be replacing Suresh Raina in the tournament. Days after rumours making headlines, CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan finally quashed the reports and cleared the air. 

However, Viswanathan denied the reports saying that the foreign quota of eight players in the CSK squad is currently full. “This is news to me as well because our quota of foreign players is already full. So I don’t know how we can have another foreigner in the squad,” Viswathan told ANI.

Raina, is not the only player to pull out of IPL 2020 even off-spinner Harbhajan Singh decided not to take part this year. So far, CSK has been tight-lipped about a replacement of Raina.
