IPL 2020: Final List of Players for Auction Released

The preparations for the IPL 2020 auction which will be held on December 19 at Kolkata is on full swing, Earlier the IPL management released a total of 971 registered players for the auction. According to the latest report, the number of registered players has been trimmed down to 332 players. Therefore the shortlisted players have been sent to all the franchises including CSK.

The final list contains 19 capped Indian players, along with 24 new entrants including Kesrick Williams, Mushfiqur Rahim and Adam Zampa as per Sportstar report. Of Indian players, Robin Uthappa has been set with the highest base price of Rs 1.5 Crore while Jaydev Unadkat has set himself with a base price of Rs 1 Crore. It has to be mentioned that Unadkat was the highest buy for the last two seasons.

The upcoming auction will be relatively smaller when compared to the previous IPL auctions. A total of 73 slots should be filled by all the 8 franchises which include 29 overseas players.

Overseas Players

Experts say that Glen Maxwell who recently recovered from mental illness would be the prime target of the franchises. Maxwell has been set with the base price of 2 Crore. Eoin Morgan, Pat Cummins, Jason Roy, Aaron Finch and Chris Lynn are other overseas players who are expected to be in the early spotlight of the auction.
