List of Players Who will be Missing from IPL 2020 Includes AB de Villiers, David Warner and 8 Others!
Home > News Shots > Sports news BCCI’s plan on going ahead with IPL2020 plans has provided great relief to cricket fans from across the globe. However, the global pandemic has not only delayed the tournament but has also paved way for several stringent rules to be put in place to ensure the safety of the players. But, it now seems like some international players might be absent for the league.
In the absence of a vaccine, several international players might not be able to make it to UAE.
AB de Villiers, who is one of the biggest IPL sensations might be missing in action this year due to safety protocols regarding travelling. A spike in the novel coronavirus cases in South Africa has brought in new lockdown rules which might restrict traveling outside the country. Delhi Daredevil’s strike bowler, Kagiso Rabada is facing a similar challenge.
David Warner, Australian batsman who is the skipper for Sunrises Hyderabad, is scheduled to play England in a series whose dates clash with that of the IPL’s. Similarly, Steve Smith, another Australian batsman who plays for Rajasthan Royals, will be playing another series scheduled for the same dates. Facing a similar fate, Pat Cummings and Glenn Maxwell, Aussie sensations may not be playing majority of the matches.
England’s Jos Buttler, Ben Strokes Eoin Morgan, and Jofra Archer might also be missing from action this IPL as the dates of England vs Australia are clashing.
