Hardik Pandya Suggests a 'Smarter Option' for Conducting IPL 2020
Home > News Shots > Sports newsAll-rounder Hardik Pandya has said conducting the 13th edition of the Indian Premier Peague (IPL) behind closed doors would be a "smarter option."
Uncertainity mounted over conducting IPL 2020 this year owing to the Coronavirus pandemic.
“It will be different. We are used to playing in front of them as the feeling of competition comes with the crowd,” said Pandya in an Instagram live chat with Dinesh Karthik.
Pandya said if IPL 2020 happens without crowds, just like the Ranji Trophy, audience will at least be entertained at home.
“There are too many ifs and buts involved. More importantly, I don’t believe in sport when there is a risk to human life,” he added.
However, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) President Sourav Ganguly had earlier said that he does not see any cricket being played in India in the near fututre.
