In the 3rd ODI against Australia, Team India were desperate to put in a good performance with the bat after two losses against the host team. Things got doubtful after skipper and captain Virat Kohli and Shubman Gill, who put up a good start, got out early.

During the match, it was Indian all-rounders Ravindra Jadeja and Hardik Pandya, who rose as good batsmen and entertained the crowd with some terrific strokeplays.

Both the hitters did not just make the country proud but also bailed the Men in Blue out of trouble with a 150-run stand for the sixth wicket against Australia.

Looking at the score, Hardik made an unbeaten 92 off 76 balls, while Jadeja too provided the much-needed impetus during an impressive 50-ball 66*.

With this great partnership, Hardik and Jadeja also achieved a milestone by producing the highest sixth-wicket stand for India against Australia in the 50-over format. They both took over the previous best of 123 runs between Sadgopan Ramesh and Robin Singh – which came against the Aussies at Colombo in 1999.

This epic partnership between Jadeja and Pandya was also India’s third-highest stand in ODIs.

Below is the chart where India recorded its highest partnership for sixth wicket in ODIs:

- 160 A Rayudu-S Binny vs Zimbabwe (Harare 2015)

- 158 Yuvraj-MS Dhoni vs Zimbabwe (Harare 2005)

- 150*Hardik-R Jadeja vs Australia (Canberra 2020)
