In the 3rd ODI at Manuka Oval, Team India registered a 13-run win after Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja’s scintillating knocks shocked fans and cricket experts. The 3rd ODI win helped Virat Kohli-led side to avoid a clean sweep in the three-match series.

It was Pandya, who went unbeaten for 92 off 76 balls while Jadeja made 66 not out off 50 balls. Taking a look at the Australian side, all-rounder Glenn Maxwell made 59 off 38 balls and tried his best to keep the home team in the match until inch-perfect-yorker from Jasprit Bumrah took his wicket.

Post the match when Maxwell was asked whether Hardik-Jadeja partnership changed the game, he said, “Yes, certainly, I think, the way the wicket was probably behaving throughout, we had them 5 for 150 and one wicket away from I suppose the bowling line-up, so we knew we were one wicket away. But, unfortunately, the way they were able to play, they put pressure on, they (Hardik and Jadeja) accelerated and took the game away from us with some really clean hitting,” Maxwell said at the virtual post-match press conference.

Coming to the much talked about moment, it happened when an excited Pandya gestured to the on-field umpire after Zampa was given out. Talking about the incident, it took place when Bumrah removed Adam Zampa at 7 runs which followed India to victory in Canberra.

As soon as the on-field umpire Bruce Oxenford gave Zampa out ‘LBW’, the batsman demanded for a DRS feeling he could save his wicket.

After the TV umpire confirmed the same - Pandya, who was standing near was caught giving a fist bump with the umpire and his gesture left fans and commentators in splits.
