IPL 2022
Ten teams are to participate and play in the upcoming IPL 2022 season. As previously announced, the IPL mega auction was held on February 12 and 13. The newly added Ahmedabad and Lucknow teams this year are raising more expectations.
Hardik in the Ahmedabad team
Hardik was dropped from the Mumbai Indians squad ahead of the IPL auction. Only Rohit Sharma, Kieron Adrian Pollard, Jasprit Bumrah and Suryakumar Yadav were retained. Following this, the Ahmedabad team signed Hardik Pandya before the auction. He was the first player to be bought for the Ahmedabad team. It was reported that he was bought for Rs 15 crore for the Ahmedabad team. Following him, Ahmedabad bought star spinner Rashid Khan for Rs 15 crore and young opener Shubman Gill for Rs 8 crore. Hardik has also been appointed as the captain of the Ahmedabad team. So he is very much looking forward to this year's IPL series.
Photo with son
A photo shared by Hardik Pandya on his social media page today has attracted attention. As he walks hand in hand with his son in the photo, he captioned it passionately as ‘’Right by your side, always". This photo has received a lot of attention on the Internet.
Injury and form out
Pandya, who was a part of the Indian team, withdrew from the team last year due to a spinal injury. So he did not play regularly in international matches and only played for India in the last T20 World Cup. It was rumored that he had not yet fully recovered as he had bowled only a few overs. He is now the captain of the Ahmedabad team and is expected to bowl in this season.
