Guess who is sponsoring the 87-year-old super fan seen in India vs Bangladesh match?
Home > News Shots > Sports newsIn the 40th match of ICC World Cup 2019, India played against Bangladesh at Edgbaston on Tuesday. India had recently lost the previous match with England and broke their winning spree.
Rohit Sharma scored his 4th century and drove the team to victory. India set the target as 315 for Bangladesh; Bangladesh fought closely and scored 286 before they lost all the wickets and lost by 28 runs.
However, who stole the match was an 87-year-old fan, who had come to the stadium to cheer for team India. In just a match, she went viral all over social media. Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma met her after the match and Kohli took it to Twitter to share the pictures.
The 87-year-old is identified as Charulata Patel and she said she was present during 1983 World Cup match as well.
Anand Mahindra, who has his Twitter game on point, was tweeting about the match and the lady. In a tweet, he said, "make sure this match-winning lady is present at the semifinals & finals...give her a free ticket!"
For which, a follower asked, "why don't you sponser (sic) her?" Mahindra, known for his nature to encourage talents, said yes for it.
