Former England Captain Willis Dies Due To Cancer!
Home > News Shots > Sports newsBob Willis was known for more than his cricketing career: his name, his love for Bob Dylan, his long hair. One of the most talented cricketers from the 80s, Willis passed away due to cancer.
The 70-year-old star succumbed to thyroid cancer. He first made his International debut in 1970 Ashes and became the second highest wicket taker in test matches.
Post retirement, he was seen as a TV presenter and commentator. He has also acted in three movies.
Confirming his demise, his family said that "“We are heartbroken to lose our beloved Bob, who was an incredible husband, father, brother and grandfather. He made a huge impact on everybody he knew and we will miss him terribly,” reports Sky Sports.
