Hours after the new Indian jersey was unveiled by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for the upcoming white-ball series against Australia fans were unhappy with it and showed their disappointment.

Currently, the Indian cricket team is all set to face Australia for the upcoming series. The tour comprises three-match ODI and T20I series followed by the four-match Test series, which is scheduled to start on December 17 with the day-night Test in Adelaide.

Just days ahead of the much awaited series, India’s opening batsman Shikhar Dhawan took to his official handle to share a glimpse of the retro jersey. He captioned the photo saying, “New jersey, renewed motivation. Ready to go."

The new jersey is inspired by the Seventies and will be a ‘retro’ theme shirt. This decision came after the BCCI inked a three-year deal with the fantasy sports app, MPL.

However, the new cricket jersey left fans disappointed as it was more of an advertisement banner than the National jersey.

Fans think that the name of the sponsors has acquired a lot of space than the country's name. Many also trolled the Indian board for ruining the retro jersey.
