Donald Trump Mentions Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli in his Speech!

US President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump arrived at Ahmedhabad with a ministerial delegation including his daughter Ivanka Trump and son-in-law Jared Kushner to be part of the 'Namaste Trump' event on Monday.

Before reaching the Motera Stadium, they visited the Sabarmati Ashram.

In his 27-minute long speech at the Motera Stadium, President Trump heaped praises on Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership and said the US will remain a faithful friend to India. He described India as a nation that proudly embraces freedom, liberty, individual rights, the rule of law and the dignity of every human being.

Even cricketers Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli found special mentions in President Trump's address. "This is the country where the people cheer on some of the world’s greatest cricket players from Sachin Tendulkar to Virat Kohli. All over the planet people take great joy in watching the hub of the hub of genius and creativity known as Bollywood -- Bhangra, and classic films like DDLJ and Sholay,” Trump said during his speech.

President Trump also announced a defence deal of military helicopters and other equipments worth over 3 billion dollars.
