Delhi Bans IPL 2020 in Wake of Coronavirus Threat!
Home > News Shots > Sports newsDelhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Friday said the Delhi Government will ban the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) in the wake of the Coronavirus scare.
“IPL will be banned in wake of coronavirus threat,” Manish Sisodia was quoted as saying by news agency PTI.
Meanwhile, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) through an official mail on Friday postponed the tournament from March 29 to April 15.
"The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has decided to suspend IPL 2020 till 15th April 2020, as a precautionary measure against the ongoing Novel Corona Virus (COVID-19) situation, the mail read.
The Board further said that it is taking all necessary steps to ensure a safe cricketing experience to every one related to the IPL including fans.
