Amid the match, fans witnessed the spirit of cricket after the Australian opener was seen helping India all-rounder Hardik Pandya with his shoelaces.
The incident happened in the 32nd over of India’s innings when Hardik Pandya was having trouble with his shoelaces. Soon after which, David Warner walked up to help him and tied the shoelaces.
Seconds after tying the shoelaces, David Warner, who was walking back towards his fielding position when Hardik Pandya extended his arm for a fist bump.
Warner duly obliged before walking back to his spot and continued the game. The moment was captured on camera and cricket fans have been praising David Warner for his gesture.
Talking about the match, Australia defeated India by 66 runs to start the series on a positive note. They dominated India throughout the game; they had earlier piled up a mammoth total of 374 for 6 in the allotted 50 overs.
Team India will look to bounce back in the second ODI, which will be played at the same ground on Sunday.
