Former skipper Sourav Ganguly has retired over a decade ago in 2008. But he has been ruling the limelight till date with various things.

He was gracing his presence on TV in a popular gameshow Dadagiri Unlimited in Zee Bangla since 2009. Singer Arijit Singh, superstar Shahrukh Khan, Vidya Balan, Sachin Tendulkar, and a lot others have participated in the quiz show.

Now, he has featured in a daily soap opera 'Bokul Kotha' which also is telecasted in Zee Bangla. Popular actress Ushasi Ray, speaking of her acting experience with Dada, said, “I can’t explain how good Dada (Ganguly) is. I was very nervous by the thoughts that I have to share the screen with a global personality."

"But he is very jolly. While shooting he asked me about my residence, my studies and a lot of things. My nervousness went away when I was talking to him," she said. She also said the he catches up with the serial regularly.
