Setback for CSK? - After Suresh Raina, another 'Star CSK Player' pulls Out of IPL2020! - Report

Chennai Super Kings has suffered a great loss after Suresh Raina walked away from participating in Indian Premier League 2020 (IPL 2020) due to personal reasons. However, according to several reports and sources, the team will be losing yet another senior player.
Off-spinner Harbhajan Singh who is currently in India, and not with the squad in the UAE, was supposed to join the team for the 13th season of IPL. However, according to sources who spoke to news agency ANI, the recent developments have stated that he is yet to officially inform about his availability. The team is also preparing to play in Harbhajan’s absence this season.
The source was quoted saying, “He has not sent in any official communication and that is expected by today evening or tomorrow. But the tea management has been told to prepare for the scenario wherein they may miss his services.”
Last week, Raina left for India and his sudden departure had instigated several conversations. However, the former Indian batsman clearly stated that he decided to withdraw to India, in order to be with his family. Around the same time, 11 supporting staff and two CSK players had tested positive for the novel coronavirus infection.
“13 personnel have tested positive of which 2 are players. All the affected personnel as well as their close contacts are asymptomatic and have been isolated from other team members. They are being monitored by the IPL Medical Team,” the BCCI said in an official statement.
However, on September 1, the franchise confirmed that no fresh cases were reported post last week. They also added, “Those who tested positive earlier will be tested again only after 14 days.”
